I'm going to use a couple of pairs of socks I got for the girls from charity shop (50p a pair, had been hand crochet by one of the volunteers, out of oddments of wool) and make these, see what they look like. If they turn out well, will be seeing if any of the lovely GP forum ladies will knit a couple of pairs of socks for the girls birthdays, in March and August... :D
