Lovely meeting some like minded parents and an elderly gentleman, whose knowledge was as good as our guides, if not possibly *whispers* better.
DD1 loved it all, writing spottings down, drawing pictures of what she saw, identifiying using our guides book, and elderly gents chart and DD2 got sooo excited by all the pretty 'Bubba-Flies'. Saw a few gatekeepers and a peacock, that flew off to quickly to get pic of.... Oh well, maybe next time.

Lovely, great that your dd could identify them and wnted to draw them. We like to try our hand at nature journals sometimes. They often fly away for us just as we are ready to take the photo ... next time as you say.
